The objects of the Company are to deliver musical services and education which will benefit the community
and in particular (without limitation) to discover and support persons who suffer from disabilities and learning difficulties. The activities will be aimed at helping and supporting those who are most in need within society. Including

We provide music services in the form of music workshops and music educational classes which are developed for a wider audience, excellent, stimulating and multidisciplinary artist-led work with a view to having a positive impact on
society as a whole. To enable that to happen, Community Music Colchester will be the creative hub that builds networks which strengthen and extend communities and the individuals involved.
The objects of the company are to carry out activities which will benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to better and enhance the lifestyle and well-being of the target audience (those from low income households, individuals suffering from disabilities, young offenders , individuals battling addiction) Not only will we provide music services to individuals locally but we also intend to branch out an expand to a national delivery capability.
Enhancing and bettering the lifestyle of individuals within the community who we aim to deliver the main workshops to will first handedly encourage and enhance the networking and communication capability’s of those involved.
The Disabled
Community Music Colchester is at the top of its game when it comes to disabled friendly working environments and practical assistance for the disabled. We run music education for those who suffer from learning difficulties and are at the heart of the community when it comes to disabled access awareness. Community Music Colchester even runs an adaptive music workshop which allows subscribers to take part in a wide range of different musical activities which are designed around using a vast amount of common adaptive aides.

Children
Community Music Colchester works with a wide range of different children from a huge list of many different backgrounds within the community and are always working to achieve high educational goals for our young students. Safeguarding and children's welfare are understandably top of our list of priority's when working with children and all of our staff and volunteers or DBS checked and have a minimum of UK safeguarding practices training.
We work with all children from all backgrounds and their is no restriction to the ability or education level of any of the student that we chose to work with.

Young Offenders and the Probation Service
Community Music Colchester works with a main goal and intention of enriching the life of the community and those who live and work within it. We work closely with different government and independent crime agencies and charities to try and deliver much needed support to offenders young and old within our community. CMC works with offenders within community environments but also branches out to prisons and detention institutions nationwide to provide much needed music services to those who are still serving prison sentences and are in the process of being released into the community.
